Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CarTheme mobile application (“App”) and the cartheme.app website. By downloading or using the App, you accept and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue using the App.

1. Description of the Service

CarTheme provides customizable widgets, themes, layouts, dashboard elements, startup sounds and interface tools for Apple CarPlay and iOS Home Screen widgets. The App may also include premium features available through paid subscriptions.

CarTheme is intended for personal use only. It is not intended for professional, commercial, or automotive-diagnostic use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Users in the EU/UK must be at least 16 years old under GDPR requirements.

4. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Payments

4.1 Subscription Types

CarTheme may offer:

4.2 Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID will be charged the renewal cost automatically.

4.3 Payment Processing

All billing and payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store’s In-App Purchase system. CarTheme never receives your payment information.

4.4 Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription through: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

4.5 Refunds

Refunds are issued only by Apple in accordance with App Store refund policies.

5. Data Protection, GDPR, and Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. In addition, CarTheme complies with GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA (California).

CarTheme does not collect names, addresses, photos, contacts, or precise location data. We collect only minimal technical diagnostics required to support and improve the App.

If you reside in the EU or UK, you may request: access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your information, restriction of processing, and data portability. To exercise your rights, contact support@cartheme.app.

6. CarPlay and iOS Widget Limitations & Safety Disclaimer

Because CarPlay and iOS widgets are part of the Apple ecosystem, the App is subject to Apple’s technical and design limitations, restrictions on what widgets may display, and system-level caching and refresh intervals not controlled by CarTheme.

CarTheme is not responsible for:

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App is owned by CarTheme. You may not copy, modify, resell, or redistribute any part of the App. Apple, CarPlay and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc. Vehicle brand names referenced on this site are trademarks of their respective owners, used for identification only; CarTheme is an independent app and is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarTheme is not liable for: loss of data or revenue; vehicle or device issues; inaccurate widget information; delays or failures caused by iOS/CarPlay systems; damages caused by user behavior while driving; or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.

9. Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country or region, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
